The timelessly beautiful gal in the oval sign that hangs above
our doors is a great friend of ours. The photo was taken by Nicky
Potter, one of the proprietors of The Painted Lady. It was shot at
Trent Reznor's (of Nine Inch Nails) former home in the Garden
District in The Crescent City, years ago. Trent graciously offered
his home as a backdrop, and as a favour to an old friend.
It turned out to be a photo of a place and time that is never to be created again... This photo just oozes the sticky, dark, sexy sweetness, and sublime beauty of The Crescent City.
Every place has its vibration, and Toronto is a super sexy place
too. One just needs to look around, open up, and go with the flow,
and all that wonderous stuff beneath the surface is revealed -
'cause it's always been there.
A weeknight at The Lady...
This lovely girl is also a friend of ours from The Crescent
City. This photo was taken by Nicky in the post-Katrina Bywater
neighbourhood (in the Ninth Ward). Though we feature the photo on
the home page of our website, the fact that she is 'painted
up'/tatooed is not entirely what we meant when we called ourselves
'The Painted Lady'. That's another story...
Fridays and Saturdays. Religious. Transportive...
Communion at The Lady every weekend...
Real deal djs kicking it...
Kinda feels like you're back in the womb in here sometimes, or in some concurrent, yet warmer, wetter, and more velvety dimension wherein you feel and see holographically, keenly aware of your connection to all energy about you, your connection to everyone in the room, and all things beyond.

And Rock'n'Roll...
I loved that green Sumo by Joey Dammit...
We literally have thousands upon thousands of photos. If we posted them all on our site, our servers would melt...
Truth be told, when you go out these days, it's all too common having a cellphone shoved in your face, and next day when you wake up, you're on someone's facebook page when you'd prefer not to be, or on something perhaps even more instrusive...
We all deserve a modicum of privacy. You're afforded it here at The Painted Lady.
Take care of
yourselves.
