ELISE LEGROW 7pm doors

Elise LeGrow's hit single, "No Good Woman," the first track off her 2012 self-titled EP, spent 13 weeks in the Top 10 at Adult Contemporary Radio in Canada, peaking at #6. She signed to Sony/ATV Music Publishing Canada, and soon after, she entered the studio to write and complete songs for her recently released EP, collaborating with Ron Sexsmith, Jon Levine , Stefan Skarbek, Victoria Horn, and Thomas "Tawgs" Salter (Josh Groban).

While the seven songs that comprise the EP have much in common with some of today's biggest pop tracks, her voice carries hints of highly-revered, timeless female singers who've emerged each decade since the ‘50s – from Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone to current contemporaries ranging from Mariah Carey, Adele, Nelly Furtado, and Florence Welch. Look for "No Good Woman" and her latest single, "OK Cupid" on YouTube and VEVO, and her debut EP on iTunes and other digital music services now.

Two of Toronto's diverse talents Anna Atkinson and Tyler Emond, have teamed up in the creation of MAHSYAKAREE. Sharing a similar aesthetic to the likes of Patrick Watson and Julia Holter, their music combines textures of sparse electronica and intimate chamber music with their quirky songwriting, bowed strings, acoustic and electric drums.

THURSDAY, JUNE 30 4am LAST CALL!

DONNE ROBERTS 8pm  (doors 7pm)

Donné Roberts is a guitarist, singer and songwriter from Madagascar, and passionate performer. When he hits the stage he carries with him an energy that immediately exhilarates the crowd even if they've never heard his music before.

Donné performs mainly in Malagasy his mother tongue from his birthplace of Madagascar. Yet this never proves to be a barrier to the audience, providing living proof that music truly does transcend language.

Donné came to wider recognition after he released his albums "Rhythm Was Born" and "Internation" and for his contribution as one of the members of the African Guitar Summit project, which won a JUNO in 2005 and was nominated for another one in 2007.

Donné was raised and educated in Moscow, Russia and now lives in Toronto. In Moscow, he was the first black VJ on MTV Russia. Touring Canada, he introduces his music to new fans that might be unfamiliar with the kinds of rhythms his music conveys and his fusion of seemingly dissimilar sounds.

On this new album, the language combinations melt with his musical compositions to great effect. Though the songs were created for this project they have a way of sounding familiar and new at the same time."
